The Washout, located on Portugal’s stunning west coast, is a one-of-a-kind surf shop that caters to both surfers and beach lovers. Offering surfing gear and the convenience of a self-service laundry, it’s the perfect stop for those embracing the coastal lifestyle.

I collaborated with The Washout on their rebranding, refining their identity to mirror the fluidity of the ocean and the  motion of a washing machine. We created a custom typography-based logo that captures the rhythm of the water while maintaining a clean and modern aesthetic. Drawing inspiration from the shore, we developed a color palette of sand, seafoam, and deep ocean blues.

The result is a refreshed identity that blends surf culture with everyday practicality, inviting both locals and travelers to experience The Washout’s unique fusion of surf and service.
